We encourage every person to take their next step in following Jesus!
Wherever you are in your faith journey – exploring, returning, or ready to grow – you’re invited to take your next step with Jesus. At Lifepoint, we want to support that journey in ways that are biblical, Spirit-led, and practical. You’ll find clear pathways designed to help you build a strong foundation, grow in community, and discover how God is forming you for His purpose.
At Lifepoint, we believe that fully devoted followers of Jesus are regularly taking next steps in these five Discipleship Dimensions: Celebrate Big, Grow Together, Walk with Jesus, Serve with Us, & Engage in Mission.
We see these dimensions at work in Acts 2:42-47. It is important to remember that these dimensions aren’t steps you complete – they’re rhythms you return to as you grow and mature in your faith.
There is something special that happens when the people of God come together! That does not mean that all you need are big gatherings, but it does mean you are missing out on something good when you do not celebrate together.
In Acts 2:46, the early church continued to meet together in the courts in large groups – up to 5,000 people. From the beginning, the church prioritized gathering together as a place of engagement and encounter! Celebrating Big is an important rhythm for followers of Jesus; so important that the Scriptures directly challenge us to not neglect gathering together as some are in the habit of doing (Heb. 10:25).
When we gather to celebrate, we are encouraged to show up ready to engage and participate! This can look like showing up early and listening after, looking for someone to encourage, singing during worship, asking the Spirit for a word, hymn, or song to share, and more. Showing up is half the battle; coming ready to celebrate... that’s the goal!

Not only did the early church set a pattern for gathering in big ways to celebrate, they also set a pattern for gathering in small ways to Grow Together. Acts 2:46 highlights both gatherings happening simultaneously; not one better than the other, not one instead of the other, both are important rhythms for followers of Jesus.
We Grow Together not just by building closer, more meaningful relationships but also by aligning ourselves with what God is doing here at Lifepoint – growing together in community around our mission, vision, and values. We do this through the Growth Path.
Where you are in your walk with Jesus, we have a place for you to join us on the Growth Path. Growing together is all about growing closer to one another and growing more aligned as a church. This provides momentum as we walk in the calling we have received as Lifepoint!
Acts 2:42 starts with one of the most important phrases that is easy to overlook – “They devoted themselves...” Although we offer groups, events, and other experiences to support you in your walk with Jesus, we cannot be devoted for you.
Each of us has to take personal responsibility for our own walk with Jesus. This is more than just checking boxes; this is building a relationship. We believe that spiritual disciplines like reading scripture, prayer, meditation, solitude, and many others allow us to position ourselves to encounter the Lord and receive from Him.
Regularly walking with Jesus may not always be an emotional or felt experience. However, by prioritizing time in your day or week to intentionally walk with Jesus, we know that Jesus will show up and the Holy Spirit will change your life in small and large ways, producing more and more of the fruit of the Spirit. We seek to experience God for ourselves, so we can give to others out of an overflow of our own growing relationship with Jesus.

It takes all of us to accomplish what God has called us to do. In Acts 2, we see a church that actively served one another – to the point that there was no needy person among them. Following Jesus will always lead us to the place where we are serving.
Serving rarely has anything to do with convenience. Service is costly, but it is also what we were created for! We believe that every believer has been given a spiritual gift for the building up of the church. We are all members, meant to participate and engage in meeting the needs of the body together. There is a place for you to serve.
When we say “Serve with Us”, we are referring to serving here at Lifepoint. This looks like joining service opportunities as they are available or joining a Serve Team to serve regularly. This is part of what it means to be a church family – we all pitch in!

Notice that the Lord added to their number daily. Engaging in Mission is not a Sunday activity; this is a daily calling. The daily lives of the early church, they way they lived day-to-day, is what the Lord used to add to their number.
We Engage in Mission by partnering with God’s mission to seek and to save the lost. This includes praying for friends and neighbors who do not yet know Jesus, sharing your testimony and inviting others to follow Jesus, and giving financially to the work of God here at Lifepoint and beyond. Lifepoint has also built meaningful relationships with local and global mission partners, which we can engage through prayer, giving, and volunteering.
Engaging in Mission keeps us from becoming self-centered. Instead, our focus becomes Kingdom-oriented. We are reminded that God has us here for a purpose that is larger than ourselves.
